As a Producer at Virtuos Cergy, you will take ownership of an entire project area, steering it from planning through delivery. Your expertise in project management and your ability to foster collaboration will ensure that our teams work efficiently and stay aligned with client expectations. Through strategic planning, continuous follow-up, and proactive problem-solving, you will help keep the project on track—delivering exceptional games on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Production Director of your project you will ens ure adherence to SCRUM framework and production processes within your teams
  • Handle SCRUM ceremonies for your team including dailies, sprint planning, build reviews and retrospectives
  • Manage one or more Associate Producers, providing mentorship and overseeing their career growth
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence across a multi-studio, multicultural environment
  • Serve as a primary client liaison for your teams, translating client requirements into a clear, actionable product backlog
  • Use Jira advanced tracking features and additional Excel-based trackers to oversee your area key KPIs and ensure everyone is taking data driven decisions
  • Partner with teams and stakeholders to refine and groom the product backlog, ensuring timely on-budget delivery
  • Identify, assess and communicate risks related to your area, developing mitigation strategies to address potential challenges
  • Identify critical path issues and roadblocks, coordinating with project team members to implement effective solutions
  • Work closely with other producers to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to evolving production methodologies

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience as a Producer, managing teams within the video game industry
  • At least one major experience working on a AAA game or within a large-scale project with multiple international teams
  • Genuine passion for video games and strong knowledge of the game development lifecycle
  • Excellent knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, waterfall, etc.); certification a strong plus
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Mature, professional demeanour with the ability to manage senior-level relationships and thrive in multicultural settings
  • Strong experience with Jira and its processes
  • Creative yet pragmatic problem-solver, adept at overcoming development challenges
  • Proven leadership skills with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex projects
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, capable of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines

About Our Team
Founded in 2010 and later acquired by Virtuos in 2017, our Paris studio is located within the lush confines of Parc Saint-Christophe in Cergy – close to the city center of Paris and easily reachable by public transport.

Our studio has a full suite of capabilities to undertake projects of varying scopes, including co-developments, adaptations, and remasters of AAA games. A great example of this is our recently launched homemade game, Mahokenshi, which was released in January 2023.
