Your Missions

As a User Researcher, you will play a key role in understanding players and evaluating gameplay experience.

Your responsibilities will revolve around four pillars: Testing & Quality, Tools & Methodology, Collaboration & Communication, Ownership & Impact.

Testing & Quality

  • Reformulate development teams' needs into clear and measurable User Research objectives.
  • Build tailored testing methodologies adapted to video game constraints and fast-paced evolutions.
  • Prepare and coordinate all testing phases, including:
  • logistics,
  • player recruitment,
  • welcoming and moderating sessions.
  • Collect both qualitative and quantitative data during sessions (observations, interviews, questionnaires, etc.).
  • Analyze results and produce clear, actionable and impactful deliverables, helping improve design, usability, comprehension, and overall game experience.

Tools & Documentation

  • Contribute to the evolution of the lab, tools, processes, and UR methodologies.
  • Maintain documentation (protocols, methodological guidelines, deliverable templates…).
  • Ensure high-quality data management and structure user information in our databases.
  • Use department tools (Qualtrics, MainManager, Jira, Miro, Office Suite, database management tools, OBS – configuration).

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with game design, UX, production, and creative direction teams.
  • Participate in production rituals (sprints, retrospectives) when required.
  • Present results clearly and pedagogically, with a strong focus on actionable recommendations.
  • Communicate continuously about analysis progress, identified risks, and recommendations.

Ownership & Impact

  • Act as User Research point of contact on selected projects, depending on experience level.
  • Play the game regularly and build a deep understanding of design intentions.
  • Assess the gap between intentions and actual player experience, and explain its causes.
  • Provide thoughtful, neutral, and constructive improvement suggestions.
  • Contribute to strengthening the visibility and growth of the User Research team (internally & externally)
