About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Supplier Warranty Engineer
to join an international technical environment and play a key role in supplier warranty recovery and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Warranty Engineer, you will be a key contributor in cross-functional projects, acting as the technical interface between customer experience, engineering, purchasing, legal, and suppliers. Your mission is to
drive supplier warranty recovery
through objective technical investigations, contractual analysis, and effective negotiations.
Your responsibilities include:
- Confirming
technical responsibility and financial liability
for component failure modes through Warranty Material Analysis - Analyzing warranty cases from the dealer network, based on warranty claims and quality reports
- Consolidating parts and component failure modes through cross-functional collaboration
- Supporting and/or leading
Warranty Material Analysis
, including requesting and reviewing technical reports - Identifying root causes by reviewing technical and project documentation (specifications, FMEA, PAA, PHR, development agreements, etc.)
- Providing technical feedback related to warranty claim acceptance and repair processes
- Negotiating warranty recovery costs with suppliers
within contractual frameworks - Collaborating with Purchasing, Engineering, Legal (internal and external), and third-party technical experts
- Supporting initiatives to reduce warranty spend and identify improvement and recovery opportunities
- Representing the Warranty function in project and cross-functional teams
- Acting as a warranty process expert to support purchasing teams during supplier contract negotiations
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you are a senior professional with strong analytical skills, comfortable working with technical and contractual documentation, and confident in supplier negotiations.
You bring:
- Master's degree in engineering or business
- 7+ years of relevant experience
in warranty, quality, engineering, or supplier management - Strong understanding of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, reports)
- Experience with quality and root cause analysis tools (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, RTS, PAA, PHR)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Interest in data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Fluency in
English and French
