Role Overview
Proservartner is seeking a Senior Procurement Transformation Consultant to support a major procurement transformation and professionalisation initiative within a large industrial organisation in Octeville.
This assignment requires a local French procurement professional, available immediately, with strong transformation experience and the ability to coach and support senior procurement leadership while driving measurable improvements across processes, suppliers, and team capability.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Process Assessment and Improvement
- Evaluate current procurement processes, tools, documentation, and compliance levels
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Recommend and prioritise initiatives to build a robust, efficient, and compliant procurement function
Supplier Delivery Commitment and Documentation Quality
- Analyse enforcement of supplier delivery commitments against specifications
- Define and formalise rules of engagement covering
- Design completeness
- Documentation quality
- Firm delivery date commitments
- Strengthen process discipline with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Supplier Capacity and Risk Assessment
- Assess capacity and performance of the top five suppliers against current and forecast demand
- Compare findings with sourcing priorities and identify risks or gaps
Department Capability Review
- Conduct an independent assessment of team capacity, competencies, behaviours, and development needs
- Consider future workload expectations, particularly for 2026
- Identify capability gaps and propose actions including training, coaching, and recruitment
Talent Support and Recruitment Assistance
- Support interviews and contribute to recruitment decisions where gaps are identified
- Coach and guide the Procurement Leader to build a sustainable, high-performance team
- Prepare handover materials to ensure continuity after the assignment
Procurement and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with planning, production, and project management teams
- Establish common tools, execution processes, and communication loops across departments
Required Qualifications and ProfileEducation and Certification
- CIPS Level 5 or Level 6 mandatory
Experience
- Strong background in procurement transformation, maturity uplift, or procurement leadership roles
- Proven experience assessing procurement processes, teams, suppliers, and performance
- Demonstrated coaching capability and experience working closely with senior procurement leadership
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes, compliance, and documentation quality
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge existing ways of working
- Experience assessing supplier capacity and prioritising operational and delivery risks
- Comfortable operating independently and delivering objective, actionable assessments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Lean and Six Sigma approach highly desirable
Key Requirements
- Local French candidate based in or near Octeville
- Available to start immediately
- Proven procurement transformation experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Engagement Duration
This assignment is expected to run for a minimum of 6 months, with potential extension based on programme requirements and performance.
