Turner Lovell is recruiting for a major international engineering company that is contributing to the global energy transition through advanced industrial and electrification solutions. This organisation is at the forefront of designing and delivering advanced drive systems, energy conversion solutions and control systems for critical infrastructure projects worldwide.

We are seeking a talented Industrial Installation Design Engineer to join their engineering department and play a key role in the technical integration of industrial equipment on complex customer sites. Within the technical office, you will interact with mechanical, civil, electrical, and thermal systems to ensure seamless integration of equipment from design through to commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse technical specifications and evaluate the functional and spatial requirements for the installation of industrial equipment.
  • Identify and address technical risks related to equipment interface with site infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed 2D/3D design studies, including interface components, cable routing, mounting systems, and layout.
  • Produce quantity estimations and create design justification documents.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to supervise manufacturing, from technical specifications through to on-site delivery.
  • Ensure quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle, from order intake to commissioning.
  • Coordinate system installation and interconnection, ensuring compliance with customer site requirements.

Ideal Profile:

  • Engineering degree with 3+ years experience OR senior technician with 5–10 years hands-on industrial installation experience.
  • Solid expertise in at least two of the following domains: mechanics, civil engineering, electrical systems, or thermal processes.
  • Good understanding of industrial and electrical standards.
  • Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design tools (e.g. AutoCAD).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple technical interfaces.
