In a changing regulatory environment, reflecting a growing public demand for a healthier life and a cleaner environment, the chemical industry is adapting and transforming itself to meet these challenges. To support the development of its Nutrition business, Seppic (a subsidiary of the Air Liquide group) is recruiting a Toxicologist and Regulatory Affairs Officer in Nutrition within its regulatory affairs department.The Toxicologist and Regulatory Affairs Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Toxicologist and regulatory advisor for projects involving the development of new nutritional ingredients, particularly plant preparations.
Conduct bibliographic research: historical use, phytochemical and nutritional composition, toxicological profiles;
Write summaries and recommendations to ensure the safety of use and regulatory compliance of the ingredient until it is placed on the market;
Monitor toxicological studies.
Responsible of a products portofolio:
Draft regulatory and safety documents (novel foods, NDIs, GRAS, etc.);
Update regulatory documentation;
Provide support to Marketing/Sales Nutrition to maintain existing products on the market (customer questions regarding product toxicity and regulatory aspects).
Development of professional expertise:
Manage toxicology projects (experimental strategies);
Watch regulatory and scientific developments;
Represent Seppic's interests within professional associations and participate in conferences.
Are you a MATCH?
With a master's degree or equivalent specialising in toxicology, you have initial professional experience (minimum 3 to 5 years) in regulation and safety assessment in the field of nutritional ingredients, ideally plant-based food supplements.
You demonstrate rigour, organisation and autonomy on a daily basis.
Your team spirit and interpersonal skills enable you to carry out cross-functional tasks successfully.
Scientific English reading, speaking and writing skills are essential.
Position based in Castres or La Garenne Colombes.
