VIDAL ASSOCIATES Consulting & Search, a leading firm in executive recruitment in France and abroad, is hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) on behalf of its client for a permanent position based in France.Our client, a fast-growing video game studio, is seeking a COO / Director of Operations to support its organizational development and strengthen overall operational and marketing performance. Well-known for its creative identity and ability to deliver engaging experiences, the studio aims to reinforce its internal structure and strategic management, particularly in aligning Production, Marketing, and Publishing.COO / Director of Operations (M/F)Permanent contract – Based in FranceMissionReporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in structuring and steering operations while implementing an effective marketing strategy.Operational Management & Organization:Streamline and optimize internal processes to support growth (methods, tools, KPIs).Oversee operational teams: production, project management, and cross-functional functions.Monitor project progress and ensure performance in terms of quality, timelines, resources, and budgets.Strengthen coordination between creative, technical, marketing, and business teams.Lead operational decision-making and roadmap management.Marketing Strategy & Execution:Build and execute the studio's marketing strategy for both the company and its games (marketing plan, positioning, segmentation).Oversee launch activities (campaigns, trailers, influencer marketing, platform relations, events).Develop acquisition, visibility, and community management strategies.Coordinate publishing activities with internal and external partners.Ensure full alignment between product vision, marketing messaging, and market expectations.Strategic Development:Contribute to the studio's long-term development: structuring, recruitment, partnerships.Implement a scalable organization tailored to current and future challenges (production, live ops, QA, marketing).Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO in vision-setting, prioritization, and decision-making.ProfileSolid experience (8+ years) within a video game studio.Required dual expertise: operational leadership + marketing strategy.Proven experience in production management or coordination of creative/tech projects.Strong understanding of video game marketing challenges (acquisition, performance, positioning, audiences, platforms).Natural leadership, strategic mindset, and ability to structure and grow an organization.Analytical, results-oriented, and excellent at cross-team communication.What the role offersA strategic position at the heart of the studio's vision and growth.Ambitious projects in a stimulating creative environment.High exposure to key topics: product, marketing, production, business.The opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on the studio's expansion and visibility.If this permanent COO position based in France matches your profile and career goals, please send your CV by email to vb16216u-145@talentup.net
