Purpose

Operating manufacturing machines to produce materials of varying complexity in accordance with targets and following established procedures.

 

 

Core Responsibilities

Production Operation

  • With instructions from Manager or Team Leader, operate designated machines and production equipment such as: blendersbatching systems, bulk tanks, packaging systems, molecular distillation, fractioning column. Common tasks involve several of the following activities: blending, mixing, dispensing, packaging, heating, cooking, compounding, filtering.
  • Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines.
  • Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
  • Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
  • Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
  • Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
  • Maintain neat, orderly and clean shop floor and workplace at all times and complete all sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, ISO'S and internal safety guidelines.
  • Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials in dedicated areas using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipment
  • Prepare unused materials for return to main warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for warehouse and cold box, including the scanning of products.
  • Maintain distribution center/ warehouse and equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as needed
  • Conduct operations in compliance with company guidelines and public regulations in a manner which
  • promotes safety (i.e. GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA)
  • Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure

 

Occasionnal activities:

 

  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed
  • Prepare product(s) for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded as per customer orders
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system
  • Work with cross functional partners to troubleshoot order discrepancies
  • May be responsible for preparing paperwork for the movement of raw materials or finished goods
  • May be required to provide activity related training and coach less experienced staff.
  • Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervison.

Process Improvement

  • Proactively identify process improvements.
  • Assist Lean activities in designated areas.

 

 

Academic Background

  • Follow some specific studies in Perfume / Aromatic / Production Process.

 

Technical Skills

  • Basic math, reading and recordkeeping skills.
  • Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products.
  • Experience in using RF scanner and labelling.
  • Early adopter of process changes.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow operating equipment utilization procedures
  • Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment
