INSEAD is seeking an Instructional Designer (CDD) to join our Executive Education department. This is a temporary contract position until 30 September 2027 based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France.
About the Job
Reporting to the Associate Director, Instructional Design, you will play a key role in safeguarding the quality of two new long-form online courses developed in partnership with Emeritus while supporting the design and development of engaging, accessible online learning experiences. You will work closely with faculty, internal stakeholders, and external partners to create impactful programmes that deliver outstanding learning outcomes and contribute to the continued innovation of INSEAD's online portfolio.
Your role within the team
• Act as INSEAD's quality control lead for two new long-form online courses, ensuring milestones are met throughout the design and development lifecycle.
• Review course content against agreed quality standards, identify issues, and coordinate follow-up actions with external partners.
• Coordinate the transfer and validation of course assets at key programme milestones.
• Design instructional materials and learning experiences in collaboration with faculty using appropriate learning technologies and tools.
• Lead the design of learning journeys, programme structures, and participant experience across online programmes.
• Support faculty throughout the course design and development process, including coordinating lecture recordings and content production activities.
• Configure new programmes on learning platforms, monitor pilot deliveries, and coordinate content updates and video edits with external vendors.
• Analyse participant feedback and programme performance data to identify opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the innovation of online learning formats, learning experience design, and emerging best practices.
• Partner closely with Corporate Partnerships, Product Marketing, and Online Learning teams to develop impactful learning solutions.
The ideal candidate profile
• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in online programme design, instructional design, curriculum development, or learning experience design.
• Strong expertise in online learning design principles, multimedia development, and learning technologies.
• Solid knowledge of online learning platforms (Intrepid, Articulate Rise 360) and digital learning environments.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver against deadlines.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Creative problem-solving ability combined with a strong learner-centric mindset.
• You thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively with colleagues across functions, cultures, and time zones to achieve shared goals and deliver innovative learning solutions.
• You demonstrate a growth mindset, embracing continuous learning, adapting to change, and actively seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the learner experience.
