We are looking for a part-time evening babysitter, ideally suited to students who want to balance their studies with rewarding childcare experience. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to children's well-being while developing your childcare skills, particularly with young children and children with special needs. As a babysitter, you will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment for the children in your care, while respecting their routines and activities.
Responsibilities
Supervise and look after children during evening care periods, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Take part in age-appropriate educational or play activities that support their cognitive and social development.
Communicate with parents to report on the day, share observations or flag any incident.
Apply caregiving techniques to support children with special needs or disabilities.
Keep the care space clean and tidy.
The role involves speaking English with the children in everyday conversation (this is not a teaching position).
Previous childcare experience, particularly with toddlers or in a nursery or daycare setting.
Knowledge of child care, including handling situations involving people with disabilities or special needs.
Ability to work with patience, empathy and positive energy in a dynamic environment.
Ability to follow parents' instructions precisely and respect established routines.
Interest in teaching, child development or caregiving, with a willingness to keep learning.
Flexibility to work evenings, especially during the hours when parents need reliable support.
Perfect command of English, as you will be speaking English with the children throughout the evening (conversation only, no formal lessons).
