Your mission:
- Manage all post-trade operations for soft commodities (container and wet bulk)
- Oversee trade finance processes, including letters of credit, avalized drafts, discounting, and bank guarantees, maintaining close communication with financial institutions
- Track shipments in coordination with charterers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies
- Strengthen relationships with banking partners
- Act as the key liaison between the Asian office, African clients, and Paris teams
- Drive operational and financial process improvements
Your profile:
- Proven experience in trading operations (soft commodities), with expertise in shipping and structured finance
- Strong knowledge of trade finance mechanisms, including letters of credit, documentary collections, and discounting
- In-depth understanding of the African market, with direct experience managing trade flows to/from the region
- Excellent relationship management and customer service skills, especially with banking and logistics stakeholders
- Fluent in French (spoken and written), with strong professional proficiency in English
