As the GROUP CATEGORY MANAGER, you will play a vital role in shaping Legrand'
procurement strategy. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing
resilient supply chains, fostering innovation, and ensuring the company's
long-term success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and
stakeholders to align procurement practices with business goals and future
growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Define and execute the global category strategy for electronic components and assemblies, ensuring competitive, innovative, and secure sourcing solutions.
* Build and manage a strategic supplier ecosystem capable of supporting rapid business growth and long-term competitiveness.
* Drive supplier innovation initiatives and identify emerging technologies that create value for the business.
* Support product development and business growth through early supplier involvement and technology scouting.
* Monitor market trends, technology developments, and supply chain risks impacting the electronics industry.
* Lead risk mitigation and crisis management activities related to critical electronic commodities, component shortages, and supplier disruptions.
* Develop and implement strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience and business continuity.
* Collaborate closely with Global and Regional Centers of Excellence to harmonize processes, deploy best practices, and strengthen procurement excellence.
* Influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Business teams.
* Operate effectively within a global matrix organization, building alignment and driving results without direct authority.
* Promote continuous improvement, digitalization, and procurement transformation initiatives across the organization QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management within the Electronics industry.
* Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of semiconductors, PCBAs, passive components, connectors, electromechanical components, and power electronics.
* Proven experience managing supply disruptions, shortages, and complex crisis situations.
* Demonstrated track record in driving supplier innovation, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong influencing, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to navigate complex international organizations and build effective cross-functional partnerships.
* Experience working within a matrix environment and leading through influence rather than direct authority.
* Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on and results-oriented approach.
