Researcher

Postdoctoral researcher or research engineer – 1-year fixed-term contract. We are seeking a research engineer or postdoctoral researcher for a one-year project at the ITODYS laboratory (Université Paris Cité, Paris, France). The objective is to study the fundamental mechanisms governing steam condensation in low-pressure chambers used for the sterilization of heat-sensitive medical instruments, as well as the impact on the materials constituting these instruments. Candidate Profile Applicants should hold a PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, or a related field. Alternatively, we will consider holders of an engineering degree or a five-year university degree in the same fields. The ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Experimental fluid mechanics
• Phase-change phenomena (condensation, evaporation)
• Heat and mass transfer
• Interfacial phenomena and wetting
• Instrumentation and experimental design Experience with optical diagnostics, vacuum systems, or environmental chambers would be an advantage. Industrial Collaboration The project is funded by ASP (Advanced Sterilization Products, California, USA), a global leader in sterilization technologies for medical instruments. This collaboration will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work at the interface between fundamental research and industrial innovation.
