Being part of HSBC in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our Asset Management business. You’ll join the Quantitative Equities team in Paris and contribute to the development of innovative investment strategies, research and technology solutions supporting quantitative equity portfolios. Are you highly analytical, curious and comfortable working with data? Do you have a strong academic background in quantitative finance, mathematics, economics or a related discipline? Do you enjoy developing models and turning research into practical investment solutions? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you What you will do: As part of the Quantitative Equities team, you’ll contribute to research, portfolio construction and the development of models and analytical tools used to manage quantitative equity portfolios. You’ll work collaboratively with investment professionals and contribute to the team’s research publications and thought leadership. In this role you will:
• Conduct quantitative research and contribute to the development of investment strategies and portfolio construction techniques
• Develop and enhance models, analytical tools and the technology infrastructure used to manage quantitative equity portfolios
• Apply data science techniques to support quantitative equity research and investment activities
• Participate in research projects, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Quantitative Equities and wider Asset Management teams
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the team’s research, analytics and risk framework
• Prepare and contribute to research publications, white papers and presentations for internal and external audiences
• Support the team in maintaining strong operational risk, compliance and internal control standards You should apply if you have:
• A postgraduate degree or PhD in mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, engineering or a related discipline
• Strong academic knowledge of factor models, quantitative research and portfolio construction
• Strong programming skills, with experience in R or a similar programming language
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly
• Fluency in written and spoken English Knowledge of equities, bonds, emerging markets, credit analysis or performance measurement would be advantageous.
