Saclay, Ile-de-France NXP Semiconductors Temps plein

• Maîtrise de l’anglais à l’écrit et à l’oral Context As quantum computing emerges as a major challenge for current security systems, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) has become a strategic priority for NXP. As a co-author of the NIST ML-KEM (CRYSTALS-Kyber) standard, NXP actively contributes to the development of next-generation security technologies. Within the Saclay-based team, you will contribute to an innovative project focused on integrating post-quantum cryptographic algorithms into next-generation embedded microcontrollers. Responsibilities During this internship, you will be responsible for:
• Conducting a comprehensive state-of-the-art study on post-quantum cryptography, including the quantum threat, comparison of leading algorithms, embedded TLS libraries, and market requirements.
• Evaluating and gaining hands-on experience with existing software solutions dedicated to PQC implementation.
• Integrating NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptographic algorithms on the FRDM-MCXN947 development board.
• Performing the technical porting of these solutions, notably using the open-source liboqs library.
• Assessing system performance through comparative benchmarking of software implementations versus SHA-3 hardware acceleration.
• Depending on project progress, contributing to the evaluation of new platforms featuring dedicated hardware accelerators for post-quantum cryptography. Profile
• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (Master 2) or final year of an Engineering degree program.
• Specialization in Embedded Systems, Cryptography, Electronics, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of embedded programming and microcontroller architectures.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, cryptography, and innovative technologies.
• Analytical mindset, autonomy, and ability to conduct research and development activities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English. More information about NXP in France... #LI-3842
