GTT is a French technology and engineering group listed on Euronext Paris and a world leader in cryogenic membrane containment systems for LNG transport and storage. In 2025, the Group reported revenues of €803 million, EBITDA of €542 million and net income of €414 million, with more than 800 employees and 60 years of expertise.

• Carry out the mission in close collaboration with GTT LNG experts, leveraging their in-depth knowledge of LNG management, cargo behaviour and molecule-specific constraints to support operational recommendations.
• Review voyage, vessel, cargo, charter party, port schedule and SatCom data 72 to 24 hours before departure to prepare safe and efficient route options.
• Provide meteorological and oceanographic analysis, risk assessments and routing recommendations, especially for heavy weather, tropical systems, restricted areas and port arrival windows.
• Support onboard LNG management by considering cargo condition, boil-off gas, tank pressure, heel, fuel gas consumption, reliquefaction or gas combustion capability and terminal requirements.
• Maintain regular contact with Masters and respond to ship operators, charterers and stakeholders on voyage performance, routing decisions, cargo constraints, delays and arrival planning.
• Improve voyage safety and performance by combining navigation, weather, LNG cargo management and post-voyage feedback into practical recommendations for vessels and shore teams.
• Analyze forecasts, vessel observations and post-voyage data to prepare reports, identify gaps, support claim management and improve GTT Digital tools and procedures. Qualifications
Your Profile
• Qualified Chief Officer with at least two years of experience in this rank on ocean-going vessels, ideally LNG carriers or gas carriers.
• Strong experience in passage planning, route monitoring, ECDIS, navigational watchkeeping, weather assessment, ETA management, port approach preparation and cargo operations follow-up.
• Good understanding of LNG carrier operations, including cargo containment, boil-off gas, tank pressure, fuel gas management and terminal requirements.
• Ability to translate navigation, weather, voyage and cargo data into clear recommendations for Masters, operators, charterers and shore teams.
• Excellent spoken English and good written English; French or any additional language is an advantage. Personal Characteristics:
• Proactive, reliable and diplomatic, with the ability to build trust with Masters and shore-based stakeholders while keeping a strong focus on safety, performance and operational excellence.
• Comfortable following vessel operations daily and communicating with Masters by video call, phone, email or digital platform.
• Able to listen to onboard constraints, respect the Master’s authority and provide calm, factual and constructive recommendations.
• Tactful and solution-oriented when discussing routing, speed, LNG management, delays, deviations or performance topics with vessels, operators and charterers.
• Able to take ownership of assigned vessels, anticipate risks, identify improvement opportunities and report key events impartially. Additional Information Permanent position, available immediately, based in Saint-Rémy-Lès-Chevreuse, France.
