SEMH Behaviour Support Assistant – Haringey
A nurturing SEN school in Haringey is recruiting a resilient and relationship-focused support professional to help pupils with social, emotional and mental-health needs.
The role
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils.
• Use agreed de-escalation and regulation strategies.
• Support engagement in lessons and restorative conversations.
• Work with teaching and pastoral staff to track progress and celebrate success. What you will bring
• Experience in SEMH, youth work, behaviour support or a related setting.
• A calm presence and firm, respectful boundaries.
• Strong communication and safeguarding awareness.
• QTS is not required for this school-support role. Apply with an up-to-date CV. Appointment is subject to references, right-to-work checks and an enhanced child-workforce DBS.
