As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns. Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost. Please note INTERPOL does not establish or endorse internship agreements with universities or academic institutions. Internship arrangements and communication are made solely between INTERPOL and the individual selected for the internship. Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the conditions of internship and the requirements prior to applying for this internship. 1 PRIMARY DUTIES
• Support the Ethics and Corporate Responsibility Assistant Director by collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather, extract and analyse data (financial and non-financial); preparing presentations of data and relevant information for official reporting; assisting in dashboard management.
• Support in the preparation of workshops and presentations for a variety of interlocutors.
• Support the Risk Management and Resilience coordinator by gathering, organising, analysing risk data in the relevant ERM tools, collecting, analysing and presenting risk and controls related information from across the organisation.
• Support in the preparation of workshops and presentations for a variety of interlocutors.
• Any other tasks under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Ethics or the Risk Management Coordinator. Throughout this internship the selected applicant will contribute to the activities of the two units within the Office of Internal Oversight (OIO):
• Ethics & Corporate Responsibility Sub-Directorate
• Risk Management Office The applicant will work across these units under the shared supervision of the Chief Ethics Officer and the Risk Management Coordinator. The selected applicant will: a. Ethics & Corporate Responsibility Sub-Directorate Support the Ethics and Corporate Responsibility Sub-Directorate by:
• Assist in researching ethical issues, drafting policies, and supporting the Ethics Committee.
• Help develop and deliver training programs on ethics and compliance.
• Support the review of reports of ethical concerns and day-to-day operations.
• Any other tasks under the guidance of the Chief Ethics Officer. b. Risk Management Office Support the Risk Management Office by:
• Develop knowledge in risk management and business continuity.
• Develop skills in analyzing data, writing notes, and producing reports on governance, risk, and compliance topics.
• Gain exposure to INTERPOL’s governance frameworks and operational risk mitigation strategies.
• Support in the preparation of workshops and presentations for a variety of interlocutors.
• Any other tasks under the guidance of the Risk Management Coordinator. 2 Requirements All candidates will be assessed on the basis of the under-mentioned requirements.
• Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries
• Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality
• Adaptable to an international, multicultural and multilingual environment; good communication skills; and ability to work in a team. 2.1 Training/Education
• Be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the past six months by the date of submission of their application, in a relevant field of study such as Law, International Law, Ethics, Corporate Responsibility, Human Resources, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Enhanced knowledge of manipulating data in Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel (pivot tables, figures, formulas, etc), with particular focus on data analytics. 2.2 Languages
• Excellent level of English is required.
• French would be an asset.
• A good command in any other INTERPOL official languages would be an asset (Spanish, Arabic). In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial. 2.3 Technical skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required, in particular: PowerPoint, Excel (figures, formulas, pivot tables), and Word. Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) would be an asset. 2.4 Abilities required Conscientious and self-disciplined; ability to work in a team; good oral and written communication; motivated; ability to work in an international environment. 3 APPLICATION PROCESS AND ASSESSMENT METHOD 3.1 Application process Only applications submitted in response to a specific internship vacancy will be considered.
