About the job For one of our clients, a major international EPCI contractor in offshore and subsea construction, we are looking for several Senior Installation Analysis Engineers to join their installation engineering team in their Paris office. You will support the detailed engineering needed to execute several subsea projects, from the analyses through to offshore execution. You will work independently under the installation analysis manager and in close contact with the other disciplines and offshore operations. The role includes short onshore and offshore missions. What you will do
• Perform global and local installation analyses for subsea installation operations as part of the detailed engineering
• Carry out lay, lifting and lowering, on-bottom stability and structure/SURF installation analyses for pipelines, flowlines, risers, umbilicals and subsea structures
• Check that installations are feasible given vessel and barge capabilities, vessel motions and environmental conditions
• Build and run static and dynamic models and define installation criteria and weather limits
• Write calculation notes, installation analysis reports and inputs to installation procedures
• Work with the pipeline, riser, structural, naval architecture and marine operations teams, and check installation documents from vendors and subcontractors
• Support offshore operations when needed, both onshore and on board What you bring
• Engineering degree in mechanical, naval, offshore or civil engineering, with a design office background
• Senior experience in subsea installation analysis on Oil & Gas projects, gained at an EPCI contractor, an installation contractor or an engineering company
• Hands-on experience of global and local installation analyses for pipelines, structures and SURF
• Strong command of OrcaFlex; Flexcom, SACS or similar tools are a plus
• Good understanding of offshore installation methods (S lay, J lay, reel lay, heavy lifts) and of the limits set by vessels and the environment
• Valid BOSIET (OPITO approved) with CA EBS, and a valid offshore medical certificate (MFC), or ability to obtain them quickly
• Eligible to work in France
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Autonomy, rigour and ease working across disciplines
