About The Role
GIS Data Operator (Projects & Data Management) – Brussels For a leading player in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are looking for a GIS Data Operator who wants to play a key role in managing and ensuring the quality of critical network data. Your Role As a GIS Data Operator, you will be responsible for the management, updating, and quality assurance of geographic and technical data within a complex infrastructure network. Your responsibilities include: Updating as-built data for pipelines and network infrastructure following new projects and modifications Maintaining up-to-date topographic data, ground level information, and assets (e.g., markers, accessories) Verifying and analyzing the XYZ coordinates of pipelines Preparing and following up on survey dossiers, including interpretation of field measurements and data entry into databases Creating technical plans and maps (e.g., layout plans, schematics, and detailed scale drawings) Actively following up on ongoing data and GIS projects Serving as the primary contact for internal stakeholders regarding data quality and updates Contributing to documentation, procedures, and knowledge sharing within the team Collaborating with experts to optimize GIS systems, databases, and internal processes
Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Surveying, Geography, Geology, or a related field First experience in a GIS or data-related role is an advantage Knowledge of:
- GIS systems (e.g., GTechnology is a strong asset)
- Relational databases
- Field surveying and measurement techniques (a significant added value) Languages:
- Fluent in one official language (Dutch or French)
- Good command of the other official language You work: Accurately and analytically, both independently and in teams With a proactive and eager-to-learn mindset And you are strong in communication and client-oriented Our Offer Work
