Senior Design Manager

If you enjoy bringing together different disciplines, solving complex interfaces and keeping technically demanding designs moving in the right direction, this role gives you the opportunity to take genuine ownership of that process. As Design Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering design from planning through delivery. You will connect engineering teams, project leadership and stakeholders while maintaining focus on programme, quality, risk and constructability. • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across complex engineering projects.
• Manage design programmes, interfaces, deliverables and key design risks.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and specialist disciplines as required.
• Monitor design quality and ensure technical issues are identified and resolved effectively.
• Facilitate design reviews and communicate priorities, actions and decisions across project teams.
• Work closely with clients and wider project stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Promote practical, coordinated and constructable design solutions. Essential Skills
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design on complex engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, programme, interfaces and risk.
• Ability to lead technical teams and drive actions through to resolution.
• Strong stakeholder and client communication skills.
• Ability to balance technical detail with overall project priorities.
