About the Role
Ref: SRQ133815 You will be working as a Geo Data Analyst within the Information and Technology Management team of a municipal organization. In this temporary assignment, you will strengthen the Geo Data Analysis team by managing, analyzing, and unlocking geographic data. Your work will significantly contribute to the quality, discoverability, and applicability of geospatial information for policy and operational purposes. You will work independently and carefully within existing municipal processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities
Manage, analyze, validate, and make geographic data and metadata accessible. Conduct GIS analyses to support policy development and implementation. Monitor and improve the quality of geospatial data. Work with the Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings (BAG) and the Basic Registration of Topography (BGT), ensuring data quality, interconnectivity, and alignment with municipal geospatial processes. Apply knowledge of the Digital System for the Environmental Act (DSO) in relation to geospatial information, environmental documents, and the Environmental Plan. Work with geospatial data related to public space and demonstrate affinity with municipal management systems and operational data. Process, manage, and archive metadata for GIS data to ensure data quality and discoverability. Manage webGIS platforms and effectively collaborate with geo-specialists, system administrators, policy advisors, and IT staff. About You You work independently, analytically, and accurately. You can quickly adapt to and operate within existing municipal processes and systems. You communicate effectively and easily collaborate across disciplines. You feel at home in a municipal environment with complex geospatial information challenges. Requirements HBO/WO level of working and thinking ability, preferably in Geo-informatics, GIS, Geodesy, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience with GIS/geospatial data in a municipal setting. Experience managing, analyzing, validating, and unlocking geographic data and metadata—including GIS analyses for policy/implementation and data quality checks. In-depth knowledge and experience with BAG and BGT, including data quality, interconnectivity, and municipal geospatial processes. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Digital System for the Environmental Act (DSO) and its relationship to geospatial information, environmental documents, and the Environmental Plan. Experience with geospatial data in the context of public space and affinity with municipal management systems and operational data. Experience processing, managing, and archiving GIS metadata to ensure data quality and discoverability. Knowledge and experience with FME, spatial databases, and GIS software. Preferences Experience with PostGIS, QGIS, and GeoServer. Experience with Kaartviewer Suite.
