🌊 BuyCo digitalizes and simplifies container shipping operations with a motto: “Shipping made easy” Most of the things around you (your phone, your clothes, your coffee) crossed an ocean in a shipping container. Behind each of those containers, a company has to book space on a ship, coordinate carriers, freight forwarders and customs agents, and keep track of dozens of documents, often still by email, phone and spreadsheet. That's where we come in. Our collaborative SaaS platform gives importers and exporters a single place to:
• book, organize and track their shipments from start to finish,
• work smoothly with their own teams and all their partners,
• get clear visibility on where their goods and documents are,
• use their data to make their supply chain more efficient and more sustainable. Our mission: bring an industry that still relies heavily on manual work into the digital age, with a platform people actually enjoy using. 🐣 BuyCo was founded in 2015 by a team combining deep maritime expertise and a strong tech background. Today, we're around 50 people. Solidly funded, we have ambitious plans: new features on the platform (like our CO2NTROL project, which helps clients measure and reduce the CO2 emissions of their shipments) and faster growth, with new clients, especially abroad. ⚡️ Want to work with energetic, experienced people who care about results? Join us and help change the way goods move around the world

Job Description
We are recruiting an Event & Field Marketing Specialist. Events are one of BuyCo's main growth levers: trade shows, summits and customer events are where our Sales team meets the shippers, and partners of tomorrow. In recent years, our event volume has tripled, and the Marketing team now needs a dedicated person to take it to the next level. To support this ambition, we are looking for someone who combines hands-on event organization experience, a strong sense of detail and a real service mindset towards the Sales teams. You will play a key role in building and running BuyCo's event program worldwide (Europe, Americas, APAC), from choosing the right events to making sure every one of them generates qualified meetings for our Sales team. You will report directly to Sylvain, Chief Marketing Officer, and work closely with:
• Marine, Senior Marketing Manager,
• the Account Executives,
• the Business Development Representatives, but also:
• the Finance team,
• our international suppliers and event partners (organizers, standbuilders, venues, logistics providers). What you will do on a daily basis: Core tasks: Event organization
• Organize BuyCo's presence at trade shows from A to Z: stand, logistics, travel, goodies.
• Organize walk-in events, summits and BuyCo's own events (such as the BuyCo Summits).
• Coordinate our international suppliers and partners: organizers, standbuilders, venues, logistics providers.
• When BuyCo speakers are on stage, align the content with the event agenda and handle the practical details: workshops, meeting rooms, presentations. Event strategy & market watch
• Monitor and map the event landscape in our industry (trade shows, summits, walk-in events) across Europe, the Americas and APAC.
• Suggest the right event strategy, adapted to each market context and to industry trends.
• Analyze the performance of past events and recommend which ones to renew and which new ones to test. Data & Sales enablement
• Extract and build lists of delegates, people and companies attending events.
• Enrich this data with contact details so that the Sales team can set up meetings in advance.
• Coordinate with the AE and BDR teams before each event, so everyone knows who to meet and why.
• Track the performance of each event: number of events, satisfaction (NPS from participating Sales and from customers attending BuyCo events) and, ultimately, Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) generated. Budget & planning
• Manage the event budget and execute it in close collaboration with the Finance team.
• Build and maintain the event planning, and juggle many deadlines and to-dos at the same time. Your path at BuyCo: We imagine (ideally) a journey like this one:
• 4 months after your arrival: you have organized your first events, including the BuyCo Summits (late January / early February) and around twenty trade shows and walk-in events in Q1. You have set up a data-centric approach to track their results.
• 8 months after your arrival: you have understood the logic and performance of our events at a global level, and our event offer across Europe, the Americas and APAC. You are able to prepare our 2028 event plan: which events to renew, which new ones to test.
• 1 year after your arrival: you run BuyCo's global event strategy autonomously. Preferred Experience If you recognize yourself in this, you have a great chance of succeeding in the position: You have already have experience organizing events (trade shows, conferences, summits or corporate events), in an agency or in-house. You are fluent in English & French. You have already worked with international suppliers and know what it takes to deliver an event abroad. You are at ease with planning and budget management, and you can handle a long to-do list without losing sight of the details. You communicate clearly and know how to rally the teams who work with you around an event. You are service-minded: you enjoy supporting the Sales teams and making their life easier. You are not afraid to dig to get the information you need. You stay calm and flexible when the unexpected happens (and at events, it always does 😱).
