Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Professional role based in the Bicol Region, Philippines. The Accounting Professional will support partner-clients in the UK and Canada by preparing financial statements, managing bookkeeping tasks, processing payroll, and assisting with GST/HST/VAT filings and other tax-related work. Daily activities include recording and reconciling transactions, maintaining ledgers, reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance, and preparing reports for review by senior accountants or client firms. The role also involves communicating with client teams regarding queries, deadlines, and process updates, while adhering to established client procedures and regulatory standards. The Accounting Professional is expected to collaborate closely with colleagues, follow secure data-handling practices, and contribute to continuous process improvements. Qualifications
• Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of accounts.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., cloud-based accounting platforms, spreadsheets, and payroll systems).
• Knowledge of basic tax and compliance principles; familiarity with UK HMRC or Canadian CRA regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with international client teams.
• Ability to work on-site in the Bicol Region, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
• Prior experience in public practice, outsourcing, or BPO accounting environments supporting foreign clients is highly beneficial.
