Role Description The role of Undergraduate, Master’s, or Doctoral Research Student involves participating in research projects under the supervision of faculty members, contributing to data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Day-to-day tasks may include conducting literature reviews, assisting in experimental or field work, organizing and documenting research results, and preparing reports, presentations, or academic papers. The research student will collaborate with the research team, attend meetings, seminars, and academic events, and support the development of project deliverables and publications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Catalão, GO, requiring regular presence at university facilities such as laboratories, classrooms, and offices. The position encourages initiative, ethical conduct in research, and continuous learning within the chosen field of study. Qualifications
• Enrollment or eligibility for enrollment in an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program at Universidade Federal de Catalão, aligned with the research area.
• Ability to conduct literature reviews, systematize information, and engage in basic or advanced academic research methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese; ability to read and understand academic texts in English is highly beneficial.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a research environment.
• Commitment to ethical research practices, academic integrity, and collaborative work with faculty and fellow researchers.
• Basic computer skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools; familiarity with research or statistical software is a plus.
• Motivation to learn, openness to feedback, and willingness to participate in seminars, workshops, and academic events.
• Previous experience in research projects, scientific initiation, or academic publications is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
