ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the CMO, the Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving retail excellence, distributor performance, and sell-out growth across all markets. The role ensures that strategies defined by Marketing and assets delivered by Communication are translated into high-performing, consistent, and impactful retail execution. The Trade Marketing Manager focuses on maximizing conversion, productivity, and client experience across all retail environments. KEY RESPONSABILITIES Retail Strategy & Execution The Trade Marketing Manager defines and implements global trade marketing guidelines and ensures that campaigns and assets are effectively deployed across all retail environments. He or she guarantees that the brand is consistently and powerfully expressed in-store through best-in-class visibility, animations, and execution standards. Sell-Out Performance & Retail KPIs The Trade Marketing Manager is accountable for retail performance and tracks, and drives key performance indicators such as sell-out growth, productivity per door, conversion rates, and average basket. He or she identifies performance gaps and implements concrete action plans to improve results, while scaling best practices across markets. Distributor & Retailer Activation The Trade Marketing Manager builds strong and strategic relationships with distributors and key retail partners, defining annual activation plans and leading commercial initiatives that maximize visibility and performance. He or she ensures that Initio is positioned as a priority brand within all partner networks. Retail Experience & Client Journey The Trade Marketing Manager defines the global standards for retail experience, including client journeys, discovery rituals, and selling ceremonies, in close collaboration with the Retail and Commercial teams. He or she ensures that these standards are designed to reinforce the brand’s emotional impact and functional positioning, while remaining practical and scalable across markets. The Trade Marketing Manager works hand-in-hand with Retail teams to adapt and implement these experiences in-store, and with Commercial teams to ensure they support conversion and business performance. He or she monitors execution quality and continuously refines the experience based on field feedback and performance. Retail Tools & Merchandising The Trade Marketing Manager defines the strategy and standards for all retail tools, including visual merchandising guidelines, POS materials, and clienteling tools, in alignment with brand and business priorities. He or she collaborates closely with Retail teams to ensure these tools are relevant and easy to implement in-store, and with Commercial teams to ensure they effectively support sell-out performance. The Trade Marketing Manager oversees the distribution of these tools, ensuring consistency, premium quality, and operational efficiency across all markets. Retail Training & Engagement The Trade Marketing Manager defines the global training strategy and content, ensuring that retail teams are equipped to deliver a compelling and high-conversion client experience. He or she works closely with Retail teams to deploy training programs and ensure adoption at store level, and with Commercial teams to align training priorities with business objectives. The Trade Marketing Manager develops engaging training formats, events, and incentive programs to strengthen brand knowledge, elevate selling capabilities, and build a highly engaged network of brand ambassadors across all markets. Cross-functional Collaboration The Trade Marketing Manager works closely with Marketing to ensure alignment with brand strategy and key messages, with Communication to ensure proper use and adaptation of assets, and with Sales to align on targets, distribution, and commercial priorities. He or she also collaborates with supply and operations teams to ensure market readiness and flawless execution. PROFILE & COMPETENCIES Minimum 3 years of experience in Trade Marketing within Luxury, ideally beauty or fragrance Strong commercial and retail expertise Performance driven mindset Operational rigor Strong leadership
