Senior Engineering & Design Project Manager – MEP / Security & Telecoms South Paris, France Major Data Centre / Mission-Critical Project ASAP Start French or English Speaking MEP | Security | Telecoms | HACS ECC Group is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering & Design Project Manager to join a major technically complex project located in South Paris. This is a senior project-based position with responsibility for coordinating and driving key engineering and design workstreams, with a particular focus on Security, Telecommunications and HACS systems within the wider MEP environment. We are looking for an experienced engineering professional who can operate confidently between the design, construction, client and specialist contractor teams and ensure technical packages progress effectively from design through installation, testing and handover. The Role Working as part of the project leadership team, you will take responsibility for designated specialist engineering and design packages on a major project.

Key responsibilities
will include: Managing and coordinating engineering and design activities across Security, Telecoms and HACS packages. Providing technical and project management oversight throughout the design and delivery process. Managing interfaces between specialist systems and the wider MEP, electrical, controls and building infrastructure. Reviewing drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design documentation. Coordinating designers, consultants, specialist contractors, vendors and project stakeholders. Driving design reviews and technical coordination meetings. Identifying design clashes, technical risks and interface issues before they affect construction. Ensuring technical information and design deliverables are issued in line with the project programme. Supporting procurement and technical evaluation of specialist packages where required. Monitoring installation against approved designs and technical requirements. Working closely with construction and commissioning teams during installation, testing and handover. Managing technical queries, RFIs and design changes. Ensuring project documentation is appropriately controlled and technical decisions are properly recorded. Providing clear reporting on engineering progress, risks, actions and outstanding design matters. Candidate Profile We are looking for a senior engineering professional with a strong MEP or Building Services background who has progressed into engineering management, design management or technical project management. You should ideally have: A relevant Engineering, MEP, Building Services or technical qualification. Significant experience delivering technically complex construction projects. Strong understanding of the interfaces between MEP and specialist low-voltage systems. Experience managing Security, Telecoms, ICT, ELV or related specialist systems would be particularly valuable. Strong design coordination and technical management capability. Experience working with consultants, contractors, specialist vendors and client teams. The ability to manage engineering packages from design development through construction and commissioning. Strong organisational skills with the ability to drive actions and maintain programme. Confidence operating in a client-facing and multidisciplinary project environment. Data Centre / Mission-Critical Experience Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically intensive environments would be highly advantageous. Candidates from other complex sectors such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, healthcare or major infrastructure will also be considered where they have relevant MEP and specialist systems experience. Language Candidates must be able to operate professionally in either English or French. Candidates able to communicate in both French and English will naturally have an advantage given the international nature of the project.
