What you will do in your day to day…
We are looking for a Structured Finance Director in Paris, responsible for supporting the origination, execution and monitoring of structured finance transactions across all product verticals for the French market, in line with the Bank's commercial strategy and Management guidelines.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Define and develop, together with the Director, the market approach strategy for the French market in order to originate Structured Finance transactions, particularly across Corporate & Acquisition Finance, Project & Asset Finance and Commercial Real Estate, as well as support its subsequent implementation with the team under responsibility.
• Collaborate with the global Structured Finance product heads (Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Finance and Syndicate Desk) on the commercial approach for specific products, adapting them to the particular needs of the French market.
• Prepare presentation materials, financing proposals (RFPs, Term Sheets) and participate in client marketing activities, working alongside the France Corporate Banking Management team and relationship managers to identify business opportunities.
• Coordinate with peers across other financial institutions in France to maintain a two-way communication flow and maximise participation in financing transactions.
• Analyse project Business Plans, develop proprietary base-case financial models with detailed projections for each transaction and perform company valuations when required.
• Analyse and evaluate Due Diligence reports, including commercial, technical, legal, environmental and financial reviews.
• Lead the internal credit approval process and present transactions to relevant committees, together with the heads of the specialised product verticals, while coordinating responses to questions raised by Risk teams.
• Manage the proper execution and documentation of transactions at both internal and external level (including syndications), reviewing the associated legal documentation and coordinating with the various internal stakeholders involved (Legal, Syndications, Corporate Banking, Derivatives, RAROC, Rating, among others), through to portfolio handover.
• Support Syndicate & Sales teams in the preparation of materials, transaction distribution strategies and commercial initiatives aimed at generating new business opportunities.
• Monitor market developments, sector trends and competitor activity in order to adapt the Bank's offering and maintain a competitive position in capturing new business opportunities.
• Promote the Bank's expertise and market positioning through participation in conferences, specialised forums, internal and external communication channels, and by contributing to articles and initiatives that support business development and brand visibility.
• Monitor performance against established objectives and propose corrective actions where deviations are identified. What do we value?
Education:
• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree in Corporate Finance or CFA qualification is highly valued.
• Native French speaker.
• Fluent English.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish is highly valued. Knowledge and
Experience:
• Solid experience in structuring and coordinating complex syndicated and/or bilateral financing transactions.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Solid knowledge of the Investment Banking environment, including company valuation, financial analysis and structured finance products.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative risk assessment capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, sponsors and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and work under demanding deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial analysis tools.
• Experience in one or more of the following sectors will be highly valued: Renewable Energy, Traditional and Digital Infrastructure, Asset Finance, Green Financing, Commercial Real Estate, Hospitality, Corporate Finance and Acquisition Finance.
• A resilient professional with a strong commercial mindset, adaptability and the ability to develop long-term relationships within the French market.
• Previous experience as a Senior Structured Finance professional within French or international banks, French Middle Market relationship banking teams, financial advisory firms or private equity organisations, with proven experience structuring transactions across one or more of the product disciplines mentioned above.
• Strong resilience, ability to manage adversity and pressure, and capacity to maintain focus and motivation in demanding commercial environments.
