Physics Masters — AI Training Specialist
About The Role
We're looking for physics Masters students and graduates to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep understanding of physical systems, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving will directly shape how the next generation of AI thinks through complex scientific challenges. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role — work on your own schedule while contributing to meaningful research at the frontier of AI development. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract

What You'll Do
Design challenging physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that clearly demonstrate expert reasoning Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical coherence, and depth of understanding Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks and evaluation frameworks across undergraduate to Masters-level topics Provide structured, high-quality feedback that directly improves AI performance on complex STEM reasoning Who You Are Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced physics domains Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and precisely in writing Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently No prior AI or machine learning experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or academic research Familiarity with large language models or AI tools Background in computational physics or mathematical physics Why Join Us Work directly with industry-leading AI labs on cutting-edge research Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you Freelance flexibility: high autonomy, no fixed schedule, global reach Contribute to AI systems that need to understand the physical world as rigorously as you do Potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project scope
