The Training specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering product, clinical, and sales training for Teleflex's Vascular & Emergency Medicine portfolio. This individual contributor role partners closely with Marketing and Clinical teams to build internal training content — ensuring all clinical content stays strictly within approved Instructions For Use (IFU) — and ensures all materials are validated through Regulatory and Legal review before delivering training both in-person and remotely to sales representatives.
This role can be based in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal
PRINCIPAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role. Clinical Acumen: establish and maintain a thorough and appropriate understanding of evidence based clinical application of the VEM portfolio, while aligning with the educational provisions of the Clinical and Medical Affairs team, supporting a consistent educational message across EMEA. Content Development: Collaborate with Marketing and Clinical teams to design structured, accurate training curricula covering product features, IFU-based clinical use, and selling technique. Compliance & Approval: Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Legal to ensure all training content meets compliance standards before distribution. Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions in-person (classroom and field settings) and remotely (webinar/virtual formats) to sales representatives. Field Support: Regularly conduct field rides in direct and distributor markets to provide support, collect feedback on training requirements, and assess program effectiveness and update needs. Content Maintenance: Keep training materials current as products, clinical evidences, and the competitive landscape evolve. Performance Feedback: Assess trainee competencies and provide structured feedback to sales leadership. Maintain training records and collaborate with leadership to identify training needs. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum level of education/experience required. Languages: Fluent English required; fluency in a second language required; a third language is a strong plus.
Experience:
Sales experience or clinical experience required (either background will be considered); having both is a plus. Evidence of teaching and education experience. SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER
REQUIREMENTS:
Additional preferred or required qualifications. Highly structured approach to content design and content building, effective utilization of online content platforms, and data management — including maintenance of training records, analytics on content delivered, and competency documentation. Strong facilitation/teaching skills — able to engage varied audiences. Comfortable working cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, and Legal. Rigorous discipline in staying within approved IFU language — no independent clinical claims. Ability to train and coach commercial technique — needs analysis, objection handling, value-based selling, closing. Solid understanding of the sales cycle in hospital/clinical procurement environments (multiple stakeholders, tenders, GPOs).
