Technico-Commercial Intern
• Contract: Stage (Internship), with valid convention de stage required
•
Location:
Paris (office-based, must be based in/able to relocate to Paris)
• Language: English + French fluency required
• Start Date: January 2027
• Team: Commercial + Science (cross-functional) About BloomineralBloomineral is an early-stage deep tech startup producing high-performance, carbon-negative minerals using biomineralization. We replace carbon-intensive, imported minerals with bio-produced alternatives grown from algae, air, and industrial waste. Our Mission: Unlock circular, performant, sustainable minerals for industries that depend on them: paint, cosmetics, construction, and more. Our Stage: We've proven the science and secured €1.2M in pre-seed funding. We're building our first pilot system to generate the data that will unlock partnerships and scaling. Our Team: Small, scrappy, cross-functional. We value people who roll up their sleeves, ask good questions, and move fast. What you’ll doHelp Bloomineral turn customer relationships into clear technical and product-development priorities at the critical moment when we're scaling from lab to pilot. You’ll work at the interface between our commercial pipeline and our scientific team, helping us better understand how our carbon-negative minerals behave in customer formulations across cosmetics, paints & coatings, sealants, plastics and construction materials. You'll be someone who can listen to what customers need, ask the right technical questions, extract actionable insights from datasheets and test results, and translate those insights back to our R&D team so they know what to build next. This isn't a behind-the-desk role. You'll be in customer meetings, you'll dig into formulation specs and particle characterization data, and you'll help us build the tools we need: product datasheets, technical questionnaires, benchmark analyses, and test-follow-up docs to move from interesting science to a fit for real applications. What You'll Actually DoCustomer-Facing & Discovery:
• Prepare and facilitate technical discussions with customers and formulation partners
• Ask smart questions about their formulation constraints, testing requirements, and performance criteria
• Extract and synthesize customer feedback, technical questions, and test results into clear, actionable summaries Internal Translation & Acceleration:
• Work closely with our R&D and science teams to understand what they're building and why
• Turn customer needs, market specs, and test data into prioritized inputs for our scientific roadmap
• Help the team understand how our mineral could behave across different applications (particle size, purity, whiteness, rheology, dispersion, oil absorption, mechanical performance) Building & Creating:
• Co-author technical materials: product datasheets, application memos, customer qualification questionnaires, test-follow-up templates, benchmark analyses
• Build a transversal understanding of how our material performs across formulations by analyzing reference minerals, competitor specs, and formulation constraints
• Help shape our approach to customer relationships and product-market fit ProfileWe're looking for someone with:
• An engineering or science student (ideally materials science, chemistry, formulation, industrial engineering, or biotechnology)
• Strong technical ability in understanding material topics: particle size, purity, whiteness, rheology, formulation stability, dispersion, mechanical performance, and the stuff that actually matters in real products
• Enthusiasm for the intersection of customer discovery, technical problem-solving, and business development
• The ability to take complex technical discussions, datasheets, and customer feedback and turn them into clear summaries and action plans
• Strong written and verbal communication (English + French fluency required) Nice to Have:
• Experience with formulation software, materials databases, or lab testing protocols
• Familiarity with industrial applications (coatings, construction, cosmetics)
• Previous internship or project experience in technical business development or product engineering
What we offer
• Gratification: French standard internship gratification
• Meal vouchers: €7.50/day
• Transport: 50% reimbursement on Paris public transport
• Learning: Hands-on mentorship in technical business development, materials science, and deeptech commercialization
• Real ownership: Your work directly shapes how we approach customer relationships and product strategy
• Mission: Work on one of climate tech's hardest problems, at a moment when you can actually move the needle
How to Apply
Apply at: https://www.bloomineral.com/job-application A note on applications: We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger. If you don't match every requirement on this list but are genuinely interested and think you could grow into the role, please apply anyway. We especially encourage applications from underrepresented backgrounds in deeptech. We read and respond to every application individually, so please allow time for a thoughtful reply.
