Demo & Process Technician
- Q1 2027 Printed electronics at the micron scale Hummink is a Paris-based deeptech company with a patented way to print electronics. Our Nazca printers are used by research labs and manufacturers around the world, and our BIRD module goes inside industrial tools in the display and semiconductor industries. Backed by the European Innovation Council, we are now taking the technology toward semiconductor manufacturing. Your mission: You join our Advanced Manufacturing team and spend more than half of your time on customer demos. The rest of the time, you work with our process engineers on the next generation of printing processes.
• Print customer samples on our Nazca printers: lines, dots, and patterns in silver, gold, or polymer inks, on glass, silicon, films, or the customer’s own parts.
• Write the demo report that goes back to the customer. It is often the first proof they see of what Hummink can do for them.
• Prepare pipettes and inks for each job, keep the printers calibrated and ready, and help keep the lab safe and tidy (5S).
• Run experiments with the process engineers: new inks, new substrates, expand our capabilities
• Make demos faster and more reliable Why you will like it:
• A rare skill. Very few people in the world know how to print at this scale. You will.
• A new challenge almost every week. Displays, semiconductors, sensors, research labs: every customer brings a different problem.
• Visible impact. Your results go straight to customers and to our sales team.
• Room to grow. A small team of chemists, engineers, and application engineers to learn from, in a company that is scaling up. Profile and
skills:
• Bac+2/3 in physics, materials science, chemistry or measurement (BTS, BUT Mesures Physiques, licence pro or equivalent).
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on lab, cleanroom, or production experience. An apprenticeship counts.
• At ease with microscopes and lab instruments. SEM, profilometry, or electrical testing is a plus, and experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry would be appreciated.
• Careful and precise: you like getting the same result twice, and you write down how you did it.
• Good written English, since our customer reports are in English. French is a plus.
• Curious and practical, happy in a young startup where priorities can move. Our team and company are young. We value proactivity, creativity, and all the soft skills you can come up with to build the success of Hummink with us. Send your CV and a few lines about a lab result you are proud of to achille.guitton@hummink.com.
