Job Description
• Design and optimize a scalable last-mile network tailored to e-commerce dynamics: high parcel volumes, and peak season surges (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas).
• Model and forecast demand at city and neighborhood levels using historical parcel data, sales trends, and retailer partnerships.
• Define optimal locations for urban micro-hubs, cross-docks, and delivery stations to minimize transit time and cost per parcel in major metros (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, etc.).
• Collaborate with operations, technology, and carrier partners to integrate real-time data into dynamic route planning and capacity allocation.
• Lead network readiness for new city launches and seasonal peaks, ensuring seamless scalability without compromising service quality.
• Analyze performance metrics (on-time rate, failed deliveries, cost/parcel, vehicle fill rate) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and implement innovations such as cargo bikes, locker networks, and low-emission vehicle deployment in alignment with French ZFE (Zone à Faibles Émissions) regulations. Job Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Science, or related field; Master’s a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics network design or operations planning—preferably within e-commerce, express parcel, or on-demand delivery.
• Proven expertise in demand forecasting, facility location modeling, and route optimization for high-frequency urban delivery.
• Strong analytical capabilities: advanced Excel; SQL, and experience with Python/R or optimization tools is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of the French e-commerce logistics ecosystem, including carrier SLAs, urban access restrictions, and return handling best practices.
• Fluent in French and English, Chinese is a plus
• Hands-on, agile mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable operational plans.
