ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a creator-led social role at the international media reference for additive manufacturing (AM). The mission is to democratize the technology: make a complex, fast-moving industry clear and credible for an audience that runs from curious beginners to experienced engineers, across a community of around 240,000 followers on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is expected to deliver across the following areas:
• Present on camera. Act as the main English-speaking voice of 3Dnatives: accessible but expert, with a science-communicator style adapted to each audience and each platform.
• Grow the community. Drive follower and engagement growth across all five channels: review and reply to comments every day, bring personality to our conversations, and turn recurring questions into new content.
• Produce daily short-form video. Script, shoot and edit one short vertical video per day for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, built on hooks that earn the first three seconds.
• Produce long-form video. Deliver regular narrative pieces for YouTube, written and paced for retention, with Shorts repurposed from each one.
• Turn editorial into social content and design. Translate 3Dnatives articles, analysis and news into explainers, visual summaries, carousels and images that stay accurate on AM processes and terminology, adapted to each channel. WHAT THIS ROLE OWNS As the first Social Media Journalist at 3Dnatives, this position also owns the following areas:
• Trend watch and industry radar. Track formats, audio, creators and news across platforms and inside the AM ecosystem, react fast to hot news, and share what is worth acting on with the team.
• Partner and branded content. Produce social-first branded pieces for industry partners, from concept to publication, and report on results so each campaign strengthens the next.
• Bringing the team on camera. Help colleagues appear in videos and long-form pieces through ideas, scripting, coaching and shooting.
• Editorial collaboration. Work with the rest of the content team to spot the news and topics that will perform on social, and feed those signals back so their editorial publication grows too.
• AI-first production. Use AI tools for video, voiceover, image generation and editing to raise output without lowering standards, and help define how we use them. PROFILE & SKILLS
• Three to five years creating social content for a brand or a media outlet, with a portfolio of videos scripted, presented and edited.
• Natural and confident on camera, with a talent for explaining complex ideas simply and credibly.
• Native or near-native English, written and spoken. French or Spanish is a plus.
• A strong instinct for hooks, formats and trends on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Hands-on with AI video, voice and image tools such as CapCut, Higgsfield AI, plus solid editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar, and comfortable designing in Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite.
• Curious about technology and rigorous with facts. No prior AM knowledge required: we teach it.
• Organized enough to hold a daily publishing cadence across five channels, and open to feedback.
• A proactive, ownership mindset: someone who proposes, initiates and follows through.
• Love social media a little too much (in a productive way).
