About The Role
We are seeking a skilled ML Engineer to join our team, based in Montpellier or Paris with flexible remote working options. This role sits at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and backend engineering, serving as a critical component of our Outmax platform—a sophisticated intelligence layer that empowers brands and agencies to control key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to their campaigns. As an ML Engineer, you will have ownership of the entire lifecycle of bid optimization ML pipelines, from conceptual design to deployment in production environments. Your work will directly influence campaign performance for real clients, making this a highly impactful and hands-on position within a small, dynamic team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable backend services, integrate new data sources, and iterate on features to enhance our platform’s capabilities. Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in machine learning, data science, or backend engineering at an intermediate to senior level
• Strong proficiency in Python, with a proven ability to write clean, production‑ready code
• Experience designing and deploying ML pipelines, particularly for bid optimization or adtech applications
• Familiarity with statistical frameworks to evaluate and improve campaign KPIs
• Experience developing backend services and APIs to serve ML model outputs
• Ability to work independently through the full feature lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and iteration
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges Responsibilities
• Build, deploy, and maintain bid optimization ML pipelines integrated with ad buying platforms
• Design and implement statistical models to evaluate and enhance campaign KPI performance for brand and agency clients
• Develop robust backend services to expose ML model outputs via APIs, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Integrate new data sources and actions by wiring MCP servers to extend Outmax’s capabilities
• Own features end‑to‑end, from conceptualization and scoping through to deployment, testing, and iteration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal campaign performance
