Alphatrad Worldwide Ltd (ISO 17100:2015 certified) is preparing a bid for the Council of Europe's call for tenders on the preparation, finalisation and quality assurance of technical documents and reports (English language), for its Human Rights and Justice Cooperation Department.
To strengthen our bid, we are inviting experienced professionals to join our proposed team. We are looking for two profiles:
1. English Proofreader / Editor (Lot 1): Proofreading, copy-editing and finalisation of reports, studies and technical documents; consolidating comments from reviewers and stakeholders; aligning texts with the Council of Europe's linguistic, editorial and inclusive-language guidelines; formatting and consistency checks.
2. Report Writer / Policy Analyst (Lot 2): Meeting, workshop and conference reports; executive summaries, policy briefs and briefing notes; analysis of surveys and participant feedback; comparative tables; synthesis of legal, policy and technical information; adapting documents for different audiences.
Requirements:
- Second-cycle (Master's level) degree or higher in humanities, political or social sciences, languages/linguistics or a related field
- English at CEFR level C2
- At least 2 years of relevant
experience:
proofreading and document revision (Lot 1) or preparing reports, documents and analysis from supplied materials (Lot 2)
- Two references from clients or employers (or a recommendation letter)
- Availability to work as an independent contractor and to complete an AI-tool questionnaire with each deliverable The framework contract runs from 19 October 2026 to 19 October 2029. Orders are placed as needed, with no guaranteed volume, and our participation depends on the award of the contract. Rates are part of the evaluation, so competitive proposals are welcome.
