About Clira Health Clira Health is building an at-home blood monitoring platform for high-risk hematology patients, founded by a repeat founder and an AP-HP transplant nephrologist tackling a hard problem with broad clinical impact. Patients with acute leukemia or undergoing stem-cell transplantation often need several blood tests each week for immune system monitoring. We are developing a fully automated system that painlessly collects and analyzes a blood microsample at home, starting with CBC + CRP. Our long-term goal is to move beyond static blood measurements toward high-frequency biomarker monitoring, enabling care teams to intervene earlier and, ultimately, anticipate complications before they become critical. We are an early-stage, venture-backed medtech company based in Paris, with offices and laboratory space inside Saint-Joseph Hospital. We build our technology in-house, from blood collection to analysis. The Role We are looking for a mechanical engineer to take ownership of a core part of our product. You will work directly on the architecture, design, prototyping and testing of our blood collection device and disposable. You will: Design mechanisms and parts from first principles Prototype fast and test constantly Work on tolerances, materials, sealing, actuation and manufacturability Build test rigs and characterize performance Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners Take designs from rough prototype toward a robust medical product We expect you to understand the problem, challenge assumptions and own the result. Who we are looking for We care more about what you can build than your degree or credentials. You may be a great fit if you have built complex physical systems and enjoy difficult technical problems. We value: A bias toward building and testing fast High agency and intensity Extremely high standards for product quality Obsession with understanding why things work or fail A willingness to challenge existing solutions The belief that “impossible” only becomes impossible once you have proved it No specific school, degree or certification is required. Show us what you have built. Compensation We work hard and expect a lot, but we pay accordingly. Competitive
