Key Responsibilities
To accurately process accounting records and prepare financial statements and management accounts in accordance with the designated accounting framework(s) Responsible for a portfolio of clients Preparation of periodic management accounts and annual financial statements; Prepare IFRS accounts, management accounts or financial statements in accordance with international accounting principles and standards; Consolidation of Accounts; Assist the Head of Accounting and other members of management team, providing daily support as requested Preparation & filing of all tax returns (annual, APS, VAT and/or TDS); Provide support to the directors in preparation of complex accounting strategies and/or financial statements; Generally assisting the administration team and the board of directors with financial, tax and general accounting queries; Attend to the timely completion and submission of FSC Surveys as and when they arise; Liaise with the Mauritius Revenue Authority for any accounting and/or tax matters including annual APS, TDS or VAT and/or (applications for) tax rulings; Develop and maintain a process to ensure the timely delivery of client accounting requirements in relation to financial reports and accounts for all entities in allocated portfolio; Attend board meetings and other client meetings to present accounts and discuss accounting related matters. Assistance to senior team members on daily tasks and other administrative tasks; Liaise with the appointed Auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables Qualifications, Skills And Experience ACCA/ACA fully/partly qualified and Accounting experience. Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge in other relevant accounting frameworks such as US GAAP is an advantage Ability to operate accounting software Well versed in Excel, Word and Outlook Professionalism and ability to win the respect of clients Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels Flexibility to adapt to the role as the company develop
