We are looking for an experienced Senior iOS/Android Developer to join our team in a hybrid setting (Remote + 20 onsite days per year). WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?
• Develop and maintain software libraries, integration layers, and data validation applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Design and implement wrappers and APIs to integrate native C/C++ libraries into mobile and enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable software components, SDKs, and integration interfaces.
• Implement platform-specific integration, packaging, and distribution mechanisms.
• Develop data parsers, validation rules, and diagnostic reporting for structured and binary data formats.
• Translate technical specifications into robust, maintainable, and reusable software solutions.
• Design and execute automated tests covering functionality, compatibility, and integration.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimise application performance.
• Collaborate with software architects, C++ engineers, and domain specialists.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation and integration examples. Requirements WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience, ideally 10 years or more.
• Strong development experience in Android or iOS, including integration of native C/C++ libraries.
• Proficiency in Kotlin/Java for Android or Swift/Objective-C for iOS.
• Proven experience developing reusable libraries, SDKs, APIs, and integration components.
• Experience implementing data parsers, validation logic, and robust error handling.
• Good understanding of memory ownership, concurrency, and interoperability across programming languages.
• Experience with automated testing, dependency management, and software release processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Specific Technical Requirements
• Android Studio, Android SDK/NDK, and Gradle, or Xcode and Apple library packaging tools.
• Java and associated build tools for enterprise application development.
• Git-based collaboration workflows, preferably GitHub.
• Debugging, profiling, and automated testing tools.
• Continuous integration pipelines and artifact repositories.
• Jira and Confluence, or equivalent collaboration tools. Nice to Have
• Practical development experience across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience with Java Native Interface (JNI), Objective-C++, or equivalent native interoperability mechanisms.
• Knowledge of cross-platform builds and SDK distribution, including Android libraries and Apple XCFrameworks.
• Experience with binary data formats and extensible validation engines.
• Previous involvement in biometric applications or image processing software.
