Job Description
The purpose of this role is to shape the sound of our products and brand by executing sound design projects and delivering high-quality presets, sample-based content (recording, editing, and instrument programming), and audio assets. Your mission is to ensure alignment with creative direction and technical requirements, strengthening Arturia’s sound as a key differentiating asset for the company. Responsibilities
• Translate product vision into sound design plans in collaboration with Product Management and the sound design team.
• Define preset and sample-based content needs per product (sound palette, scope, formats, technical specs).
• Write and communicate creative + technical briefs for internal and external contributors (including recording and delivery guidelines).
• Coordinate external contractors (preset designers, sample providers, music producers), ensuring alignment, quality, and project deadlines.
• Ensure audio engine quality and musicality through sound design-led validation, critical listening, and qualitative feedback during R&D.
• Design and deliver soundbanks and presets for Arturia instruments and expansions.
• Produce sample-based content end-to-end, including vendor coordination, recording oversight, editing, SFZ programming, and final validation.
• Review, validate, and refine delivered content to meet Arturia quality and musical standards.
• Create audio assets for marketing and product launches (demos, showcases, web content).
• Monitor market trends, emerging tools, and animate our user community to identify new business opportunities.
• Present and communicate Arturia’s products and vision to customers through demos, presentations, and educational content. Requirements
• Over 5 years of professional experience in sound design, audio content creation, music production, or a similar role in the music tech industry.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent, e.g. a BTS in France) in audio engineering, sound design, music production, music technology, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent professional experience and/or a portfolio may substitute for formal academic training.
• Excellent proficiency with at least one DAW (Ableton Live / Logic Pro / Pro Tools), and knowledge of synthesis, sampling, audio editing and restoration (iZotope RX or equivalent), and music production.
• English: proficient level of oral and written communication.
