About the role
Neurobus is developing cutting-edge vision solutions and systems, leveraging neuromorphic technologies to enhance the intelligence and efficiency of embedded devices and robots in the Defense and Space sectors. A key challenge is creating lightweight and reliable state estimation and control pipelines that exploit the unique properties of our vision and computing payloads to maximize application performances. We are seeking a passionate and talented GNC Engineer to join our growing engineering team and play a key role in designing and developing innovative control systems. You'll be at the forefront of developing robust and efficient solutions for real-world robotic applications. What You Will Do As a GNC Engineer at Neurobus, you will:
• Design & Develop: Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of state estimation and control processing chains, aligning with product and technical requirements.
• Problem Solve: Identify and resolve complex robotic state estimation and control systems challenges.
• Innovate & Improve: Explore and implement strategies for improving state estimation and control pipelines' reliability, efficiency, and robustness.
• Research & Learn: Stay up-to-date with advancements in embodied artificial intelligence and neuromorphic control, contributing to Neurobus's position at the forefront of innovation.
• Collaborate: Work closely with computer vision, systems engineering, and product colleagues to clarify requirements, advise on technical constraints, and contribute to system architecture decisions.
• Validate & Optimize: Participate in validating and optimizing developed systems through testing and analysis in real-world environments.
• Share Knowledge: Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentorship within the engineering team.
• Shape the Future: Contribute to the engineering team's growth through participation in recruitment and mentorship of junior colleagues. Preferred Experience Main
requirements:
• Master's degree or higher in Robotics, GNC, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in robotics or related fields.
• Solid understanding of state estimation and control algorithms, including Kalman filtering, nonlinear optimization and sensor fusion.
• Excellent C++ development skills, with Python used for simulation, experimentation and tooling.
• Experience analysing flight logs, debugging complex robotic systems and improving system reliability through experimentation.
• Familiarity with the state-of-the-art in robotics and GNC.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English. We're especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
• Prior experience in the robotics industry
• Autonomous UAVs, VTOL aircraft or other aerial robotic systems
• PX4, ArduPilot or custom flight-control software
• Multi-sensor fusion using cameras, IMUs, GNSS, radar or event cameras
• Reinforcement Learning based control strategies
• Real-time operating systems and safety-critical software
• Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL) and digital twin simulation
• ROS 2, Gazebo, AirSim or Isaac Sim
• Mission planning and autonomous behaviours
• Flight testing and system integration
• Defense, aerospace or other high-reliability engineering environments
• Contributions to influential open-source robotics projects or peer-reviewed publications Recruitment Process 1 coding test and 3 interviews: intro call, technical interview, HR interview. Additional Information
