COMPANY
Engineering school belonging to the group, providing a 5-year program that trains engineers passionate about technologies addressing the needs of new mobility solutions. It conducts applied research serving all stakeholders in the transport sector (aeronautics, automotive, space, naval, guided and railway transport).
It offers an engineering degree and specialized master’s programs accredited by the French Engineering Accreditation Commission (CTI), supported by teams of lecturers and researchers, and hosts more than 2,500 students across 3 campuses.
The school’s research laboratory currently brings together around thirty teacher-researchers and about forty PhD students. It develops applied research in a highly collaborative environment focused on sustainable, smart, and safe mobility.
GENERAL CONTEXT AND SCIENTIFIC OBJECTIVES
As part of the European Horizon Europe project AMIGOS (Active Mobility Innovations for Green and Safe City Solutions), ESTACA is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the final phase of the project, focused on evaluating innovative urban mobility solutions and assessing their transferability to other territories.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will contribute to the following tasks:
• Exploitation and analysis of data collected from European Living Labs;
• Validation and enhancement of urban mobility digital twins;
• Development of impact assessment indicators covering environmental, safety, social, and economic dimensions;
• Performance analysis of active and shared mobility solutions;
• Investigation of the transferability and replicability of solutions in other European cities;
• Participation in project data management, quality assurance, and valorization activities;
• Preparation of Horizon Europe technical deliverables and scientific publications. PRATICAL INFORMATION Postdoctoral expected start date : open Project end : may 2027 Funding: Amigos european project
Salary:
40-44k€ REQUIRED PROFILE The candidate should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. Strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and Python programming are required. Experience in smart mobility, digital twins, transportation systems, or decision-support systems would be highly appreciated. The successful applicant should demonstrate autonomy, initiative, the ability to work effectively within an international consortium, and an excellent command of scientific English. APPLICATION
