Salary:
According to experience / institutional salary scale 📄Contract: Non-permanent, full-time ⏱️Duration: 1 year, renewable depending on funding and project progress 🧬 Project: Quantitative analysis of transcription factor–DNA interactions 🎓Profile: Technician diploma (Bac+2) in biology, biochemistry or a related field. 0-3 years of experience. 🇬🇧🇫🇷 Language: communication level English and French (supportive environment to learn languages) 🌐Contact: boglarka.zambo@univ-cotedazur.fr, Please send your CV along with your motivation letter. 📅Recruitment: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The project How does the strength of a transcription factor–DNA interaction influence gene regulation and cellular behavior? This ANR-funded project aims to understand how binding affinities are translated into transcriptional responses and ultimately cellular behavior and how disease related mutation modulate this system. A high-throughput quantitative interaction assay will provide the experimental foundation of the project, generating systematic measurements of transcription factor–DNA binding affinities. The position We are looking for a motivated and reliable technician to contribute to the day-to-day organization of the laboratory and to the development and implementation of the high-throughput quantitative assay, potentially using laboratory automation and robotics. The position will involve:
• Organizing and managing laboratory stocks, reagents and experimental workflows;
• Supporting the project leader with procurement and other day-to-day administrative tasks;
• Performing and optimizing high-throughput biochemical assays and their automation; Experience or strong interest in biochemistry, interactomics, high-throughput assays or laboratory robotics would be an advantage. Experience with all these techniques is not required: training will be provided, and the successful candidate will work closely with the project leader to establish and optimize the assay. Candidate profile: We are looking for someone who is:
• Reliable, organized and precise;
• Has good communication skills which is required for the organization/administration;
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for experimental tasks;
• Comfortable with logical and systematic problem-solving;
• Curious and motivated to learn and develop new experimental approaches; Working environment: The successful candidate will join an international and multidisciplinary research environment at the Institut de Biologie Valrose (iBV, site Pasteur), Nice, and will work closely with the project leader, Boglarka Zambo (CNRS Researcher). The position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in quantitative biochemistry, high-throughput experimentation and molecular interaction analysis, while contributing directly to the development of a new research approach. No perfect English required — the team is supportive of different language levels and integration. Sufficient communication skills are expected to ensure effective interaction within the team.
