About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Finance Data Engineer to join our Corporate team at Voodoo. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical transformation of our Finance operations by developing foundational data infrastructure, pipelines, and internal tools. Your efforts will enable the Finance teams to operate more efficiently, make data-driven decisions, and support Voodoo’s continued growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders and the central Data team to translate complex business needs into reliable, scalable, and maintainable data solutions. Your responsibilities will include defining the roadmap for Finance data initiatives, building and scaling the data platform, migrating legacy workflows, and establishing standards for data quality, security, and observability. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape Voodoo’s Finance data ecosystem, leveraging your expertise in data engineering, automation, and analytics to create measurable business impact. Qualifications
• Significant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role, including ownership of production-grade data solutions
• Proven track record of building or substantially improving modern data platforms or analytics stacks
• High proficiency in SQL and comfortable developing production systems in Python
• Strong software engineering practices, including testing, version control, code review, documentation, and monitoring
• Solid understanding of core corporate Finance and accounting concepts; familiarity with French accounting principles is advantageous
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into pragmatic technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Autonomous work style with the ability to prioritize and deliver incremental value
• Curiosity about evolving data and AI ecosystems, with a proactive approach to testing and forming opinions on new approaches
• Pragmatic decision-making regarding technology choices, knowing when to build, adopt open-source, or purchase solutions Responsibilities
• Define and execute the roadmap for Finance data, automation, and internal tooling initiatives
• Build and scale Voodoo’s Finance data platform, focusing on high-value use cases
• Migrate critical data workflows from spreadsheets and legacy tools to robust, code-based solutions
• Create reliable data models and pipelines for reporting, analysis, forecasting, and operational processes
• Establish and maintain high standards for data quality, observability, security, and access management
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Controlling, Treasury, and other Finance teams to translate their needs into scalable technical solutions
• Collaborate with Data leadership and engineering teams to align on architecture, tooling, and best practices
• Develop intuitive dashboards and internal applications to empower Finance teams in data exploration and workflow management
• Identify opportunities for AI and automation, prototype solutions, and measure their impact
