Job Description
The Naval Engineer will support the Naval Engineering department in the preparation of technical studies related to offshore permanent mooring equipment, their design, fabrication, integration, and offshore installation. The engineer will work independently, under the supervision of the project lead, and in close interface with other disciplines such as structural, installation, procurement, process, and piping. Main Responsibilities
• Prepare naval engineering deliverables: procedures, technical notes, calculation reports, and documentation related to the design and fabrication of permanent mooring equipment and associated systems.
• Produce all technical documentation required for purchase requisitions, bid evaluations, and purchase orders.
• Prepare project lessons‑learned packages and contribute to knowledge capitalization.
• Support the technical development of the department by improving internal methods and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination sessions.
• Perform offshore missions when required (certifications mandatory).
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, QHSE rules, and engineering standards. Requirements
• Solid experience in Naval Engineering within the Oil & Gas offshore sector.
• Ability to prepare high‑quality engineering deliverables: procedures, technical notes, reports, and procurement documentation.
• Knowledge of permanent mooring systems, their design, fabrication, and offshore installation.
• Strong ability to work with multiple disciplines and manage technical interfaces.
• Experience in reviewing vendor documentation and supporting procurement activities.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• BOSIET + CA‑EBS (OPITO certified)
• MFC – Medical Fitness Certificate (OGUK certified)
• Autonomous, rigorous, and able to work in a multi‑project environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to justify technical decisions clearly.
• High respect for QHSE rules and internal procedures.
