About The Role
The Manager SAP
- Source to Pay EMEA/APAC oversees the lifecycle of one or more SAP products within the Source value stream, ensuring they meet business needs and deliver value. The role leads a team of SAP experts responsible for solution development and support, collaborates with business units, and ensures compliance with standards and policies. The Source stream covers procurement and supply management from sourcing and purchasing through inbound logistics and payment processing. The SAP Source team enables efficient procurement cycles and inventory control through solutions for sourcing, contract management, supplier collaboration, and inventory management, while supporting compliance and cost control. The role requires a strong background in purchase-to-pay, material/warehouse management, and supplier management to effectively interpret business requirements. It oversees approximately 14 SAP Consultants
- Source to Pay responsible for designing, customizing, and developing specifications to resolve issues, enhance solutions, and meet business expectations. Travel is expected once per quarter to one of the Global SAP CoE Hubs in France or Mexico. Your Accountabilities Product roadmap & strategic planning Work with Business Relationship Managers to understand and prioritize business needs. Own the product roadmap, aligning with the Director Global SAP for the value stream and Solution Architects to address evolving business needs. Partner with Solution Architects to assess technical feasibility, scalability, security, and enterprise architecture compliance. Collaborate with the Director Global SAP to manage the catalog and lifecycle of products and solutions within the value stream, ensuring business value. Solution delivery & support governance Validate solution designs with Solution Architects. Plan, assign, and oversee SAP Consultants’ work across requirements interpretation, estimation, design, build, testing, debugging, packaging, and release. Ensure appropriate support quality and SLA compliance, prioritizing and coordinating tasks within the product domain. Support resolution of complex incidents and requests. Verify quality of team deliverables, approving estimations, specifications, and changes while ensuring consistency and compliance. Safeguard SAP standard solutions and validate deviations, protecting core solution integrity and integration with adjacent areas in collaboration with Solution Architects. Promote SAP and add-on best practices and participate in selecting complementary software and suppliers. Stakeholder collaboration & integration Partner with the Director Global SAP to align product execution with the broader value stream strategy and streamline end-to-end business processes. Collaborate with other SAP Managers to ensure solution integrity and with Service Managers to ensure compliance with processes, policies, and procedures. Coordinate day-to-day resource allocation and workload distribution with Service Managers. Monitor product performance and user satisfaction, identify improvement opportunities, and maintain communication with Global and Local Key Users. Role organization and scope SAP Managers are part of the SAP Solutions department within the Global SAP CoE. The SAP Solutions organization manages the full lifecycle of SAP applications and the delivery of solutions supporting business processes. Structured around value streams including Finance, Sourcing, and Manufacturing, it is responsible for designing, delivering, optimizing, and supporting SAP-enabled solutions. The team serves as the primary interface with business stakeholders, ensuring products deliver value, remain fit-for-purpose, and balance global standardization with necessary local requirements. It also drives process improvement, innovation, and user experience across SAP products. Essential Qualifications, knowledge, and experience 10+ years of relevant experience delivering SAP solutions, including SAP configuration and custom development. 4+ years of management experience. Proven ability to collaboratively manage teams across multicultural and remote environments. Fluent business English, verbal and written. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience implementing Source-to-Pay and Inbound Logistics processes in SAP ECC and S/4HANA. Experience with SAP MM and WM modules. Experience in SAP configuration, custom development, and preparation of functional specifications and test cases. Proven solution design, implementation, and support experience in complex and regulated organizational environments. Demonstrated leadership in end-to-end delivery, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of SAP products. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with focus on data quality, compliance, and risk mitigation. Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio, MS Office, and collaboration platforms. Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to influence senior business leaders and IT partners. High professional ethics, customer orientation, and ability to thrive in multicultural, geographically dispersed teams. Desirable Fluency in additional languages, such as Spanish or French. Experience with LE-TRA. Experience working with SAP Ariba.
