Job description
THE ROLE To support our Group's growth, we are looking for a manager who are organized, agile and committed, able to bring a strategic perspective and deliver tangible impact with the Group's leadership. As a member of the CMA Conseil team, you will contribute to high-visibility strategic consulting assignments, directly serving the Group's leadership. You will work in small teams on projects ranging from a few weeks to several months, covering all of the Group's business lines and geographies. Within the PMI (Post-Merger Integration) unit, you will support the Group and the BUs in making external growth operations a success, from the due diligence phase through to post-acquisition integration — structuring integration plans, helping teams deliver the synergies identified, and anticipating risks and contingency plans. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 1. Contribute to due diligence and pre-integration phases
• Participate in due diligence on the Group's strategic transactions
• Identify key integration issues and risks early on
• Challenge the feasibility of integration plans and identified synergies
• Contribute to defining the integration strategy and roadmap from the pre-acquisition stage
• Prepare the transition between the acquisition and the launch of the PMI program 2. Lead integrations
• Take ownership of complex, strategic integration programs
• Structure and steer integration plans, workstreams, responsibilities and milestones
• Set up governance and steering routines
• Coordinate Group, BU, support-function and local teams
• Identify key risks and blockers and ensure they are resolved
• Prepare and facilitate steering committees with sponsors and executives
• Prepare reporting and recommendations for management and the Executive Committee (COMEX) 3. Support the capture and securing of synergies
• Challenge the synergy assumptions identified during due diligence
• Support the BUs in translating synergies into concrete action plans
• Set up mechanisms to track realized gains against the business case
• Identify gaps and risks that could jeopardize the delivery of synergies
• Define contingency plans and corrective actions together with the BUs
• Escalate matters requiring a management decision 4. Structure the Group's PMI methodologies
• Develop and evolve the CMA Conseil PMI playbook
• Standardize tools, templates, KPIs and governance models
• Build on lessons learned from previous integrations
• Adapt PMI methodologies to different types of acquisitions and contexts
• Contribute to spreading PMI best practices across the Group 5. Support teams and executives
• Act as a key point of contact for the executives of acquired companies and BU sponsors
• Advise leadership teams on the main integration challenges
• Facilitate coordination between Group teams and local teams
• Support operational teams in implementing integration plans
• Step in on critical matters requiring strategic or operational support 6. Contribute to CMA Conseil's assignments
• Develop CMA Conseil's PMI offering with Group sponsors
• Contribute to business plans, operating models and transformation plans related to external growth operations
• Leverage integration experience to enrich the team's methods and tools
• Participate in building PMI capabilities within the team
• Contribute to developing the PMI community across the Group Profile description: WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• 7–12 years of experience, including significant experience in Post-Merger Integration
• Background in strategy/management consulting, M&A, transformation, or a corporate environment
• Significant experience leading complex, international integration programs
• Strong command of synergies, operating model, organization and transformation topics
• Ability to interact with Executive Committee-level stakeholders and challenge teams
• Excellent structuring, steering and problem-solving skills
• Natural leadership and the ability to rally teams without hierarchical authority
• Fluent English and in French
