Help us enable network operators across Europe to fulfill their vital role as operators of critical infrastructure. As Mettis, we contribute daily to ensuring people receive light, heat, and water—and no one is left in the dark. We are currently seeking to strengthen our team with a: GIS Specialist (m/f/d) for Utility Network Documentation In this role, you will support our Network Data Services team at our headquarters in Paderborn with the documentation of utility networks—including electricity, gas, water, and sewer systems. You will input data based on existing plans and update it in the GIS. You will also review and correct the recorded data and feed it back into the existing system.

Key Responsibilities
Perform network updates for electricity, gas, water, and/or telecommunications networks using update sketches, survey drawings, field books, or similar documents, in accordance with client-specific data capture guidelines within the client’s GIS (e.g., ArcFM UT or Smallworld GIS) Review and correct existing or newly captured data Identify inconsistencies in the data and resolve them independently in line with client rules and specifications Ensure efficient and accurate data entry using available technical systems

Your Profile
Completed vocational training as a surveying technician, geomatics engineer, construction draftsman, or technical draftsman—or an equivalent qualification Prior experience with ArcFM UT, Smallworld GIS, or another GIS platform Familiarity with utility provider network documentation is a plus Willingness and ability to independently assume responsibilities after an appropriate onboarding period Fluent German (written and spoken), with basic English skills Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications We also welcome career changers with a technical background Ready for your next career step?
