Soil and Water Conservation Scientist (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for soil and water conservation scientists to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on sustainable land and water management content. Your field expertise will directly shape how AI understands, reasons about, and communicates critical environmental science topics — from erosion control to watershed management. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your scientific knowledge makes a real difference in how AI handles one of the most important domains in environmental stewardship. Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Review and evaluate AI-generated soil and water conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy and practical validity Assess content related to erosion control, watershed management, soil health, and conservation planning Identify flawed assumptions, oversimplified reasoning, or impractical recommendations in AI outputs Provide clear, structured feedback that improves the scientific rigor and clarity of AI-generated content Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments that fit your schedule Who You Are 3+ years of experience in soil science, hydrology, conservation planning, or a closely related field Strong working knowledge of soil processes, water systems, and land conservation techniques Able to critically evaluate applied environmental science reasoning and identify errors in technical content Comfortable reading and reviewing scientific written material with an eye for accuracy and clarity Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet deadlines independently Nice to Have Graduate degree in Soil Science, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline Hands-on experience with field assessments, conservation planning tools, or land management programs Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation workflows, or technical writing Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs — your expertise shapes the future of environmental AI Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global community of experts Contribute to meaningful work that helps AI handle environmental science responsibly and accurately Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
