About The Role
What if your years of chemistry training could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and evaluate the next generation of AI models by designing rigorous, real-world chemistry problems that push the boundaries of machine intelligence. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep expertise in chemistry and a commitment to scientific rigor. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract

What You'll Do
Develop, solve, and review advanced chemistry problems with real-world relevance and scientific depth Apply your expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry to design complex, meaningful problem statements Evaluate AI-generated chemistry reasoning for accuracy, clarity, and scientific soundness Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of scientific rigor and clarity Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field Deep expertise in one or more of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry tools (e.g., Gaussian, VASP) Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to detail Self-motivated, rigorous, and reliable when working independently Fluent in English Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows Familiarity with AI tools or scientific reasoning evaluation Experience writing or reviewing technical content for clarity and accuracy Background in research, academia, or applied chemistry environments Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and reasons through chemistry Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
